Were you allowed to express your emotions when you were a child or did you have to hide them? What if you knew it was okay?
In Episode 4 of the Ever After Podcast, we explore how early wounds often trained us to interpret life through fear, shame, rejection, or striving. Attached to those lies were powerful emotions we never learned how to process. Many of us grew up believing the message, “Conceal, don’t feel” as the church reinforced the idea that emotions were obstacles to truth rather than invitations to healing.
In this episode, we take a deeper look at how Jesus Himself experienced and expressed emotion during His life on earth. Through Anita’s honest sharing of her own emotional struggles, we discover that our feelings do not need to be hidden in shame or suppressed in fear. Instead, when we bring them honestly before God, they can become a pathway into deeper healing, freedom, and intimacy with Him.
